The world of funerary decorations. Reproduction of a tomb

The world of funerary decorations is one of the most significant aspects of this culture, and there still exist many examples today. We know that the deceased were interred beneath the houses, in complex, stone chambers, or beneath the ground they habitually used while alive. Differences are observed, as per the individual’s social status, both with respect to construction and funerary furnishings. The latter may consist of a plate for everyday use, now serving as a funerary piece, or of a set of pieces especially made for the occasion, where the individual may appear surrounded by relatives and prestige objects, such as jade, ceramics in the codex style, foodstuffs, etc.

In the tomb’s reproduction we have combined authentic pieces with falsifications.
