The city. A visit to a series of elements that define the urban structure of Tarraco and their uses:

  The shows. Some of the most characteristic buildings of the Roman cities are those dedicated to public performances. In Tarraco the remains of three great public show buildings par excellence have been conserved: the circus (for chariot races), the Amphitheatre (for gladiator fights) and the theatre (for theatrical performances).

 The world of the dead. Tour of the different burial places in the surrounding areas of Tarraco. The memory of and homage to the dead formed part of the everyday life of the Romans, both privately and publicly. The funereal elements and monuments are numerous and varied:
  1. The Scipios Tower
  2. The Paleochristian Necropolis and Museum
  3. The Constantinian Mausoleum of Centcelles
  4. The Roman Columbarium of Vila-rodona
  City and territory. Tarraco was the centre and only urban nucleus of an extensive territory, larger than the present Camp de Tarragona. The relations between the city and its hinterland were not only administrative and political but also social, economic and commercial.
