Roman architecture
Partial view of Room II of the Archaeological Museum devoted to the Roman architecture of Tarraco.

The Romans were very innovative architects. They introduced new construction materials such as concrete and bricks and new designs such as the arch and the vault. These allowed them to construct larger and more solid buildings.

Roman Imperial architecture produced many grand public buildings. They were concentrated in cities, essential places to learn both about Roman architecture and society.
